Who we are

Hello and welcome to Merseyside Pension Fund's website dedicated to the proposed changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) which are proposed to become effective on 1 April 2014.
The Fund is responsible for the administration of the LGPS within the geographical area of Merseyside.  The Fund also administers the Scheme on behalf of a number of qualifying employers who are not situated within the Merseyside area. 
The LGPS is a nationwide scheme which forms a valuable pay and reward package for local government employees and eligible councillors. With approximately 4.6 million members, the Scheme is one of the largest within the public sector in the U.K.
